Rail Grab Facility for RIO TINTO Karratha WA

Client
Bellinghams Engineering

TECs designed, constructed, programmed, wired and commissioned all electrical infrastructure for the rail handling facilities.

After the success of a similar project for Queensland Rail (now Aurizon) in Yerongopilly,  TECS was requested to complete the same but on a much larger scale in Karratha, Western Australia for Rio Tinto.

The iron rails are welded and transported along conveyors to be stored and then loaded onto trains.

The cranes are automated and all rails are coded and tracked by the software.
